Dr Jo Mc Tigue and HCP ltd CEO Simon Conway were invited to present at the first combined Peppers and Cucumber Growers Association annual conference. It was good to hear the Technical update from Ian Bedford regarding the biggest issues of pest and disease facing the sector and how HCP can work with the association members to help find solutions. It has been well publicised how challenging the last two years have been for the growers with spiralling energy costs yet despite this seeing the positivity of the growers who are planning for the future was great to see. Thanks to Chairman James Broekhuizen for inviting us to speak and look forward to next year’s conference.
